Valerie is first and foremost a beloved daughter of God, who alone defines her.  

She is also a wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 8.

Valerie is the founder and first director of the Lazarus Center. In starting the Church of the Savior with her husband Joe in 1984, they realized the need for people to not only come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, but for Him to also touch deep wounds in peoples hearts so that we can truly love Him with all of our being and be transformed into His image. Therefore, she needed to find and create resources to that end; but first needed those resources herself. Classes, retreats, prayer sessions, trainings, etc were added through the years.

She retired from the Center in 2015, stayed involved in some healing ministry in smaller ways, and is back on the board and serving again here.
