Weekend Seminars

Weekend seminars allow us to study a topic in-depth, using various modalities to connect with the learning material, each other, and ourselves. Scholarships are available to those with financial need. To give you an idea of what to expect, here are a few details about some of the sessions we offer.

One Day Seminars:

• Where Is God When It Hurts? - When life hurts, we often wrestle with where God is, especially when tragedy distorts our view of Him. Understanding the Father’s heart brings comfort and clarity, revealing His presence and love even in pain.
• Basic Inner Healing Prayer - Do you have a friend that is struggling with something and no matter what they do they can’t overcome it. Would you like to help them? The Lazarus Center offers teaching and training in inner healing prayer to bring the power of the risen Christ to heal the hurts in our lives through a personal encounter with Jesus setting us free. Come join us, bring your friend and start on the journey to enable your friend to be free. This training includes two one-day sessions.

Two Day Seminars:

• Healing the Impact of Trauma and Abuse - When you recall difficult times, have you thought, "It wasn't a big deal," or "there wasn't any BIG incident?" Many little or ongoing traumas can have as much impact as a major trauma. Inner healing prayer offers healing through a personal encounter with the risen Christ.
• Facing and Healing Life’s Hurts? - Are you tired of your buttons being pushed at home or at work? Do you find yourself overreacting to problems? Have you prayed, fasted, and done everything you can think of to overcome that sin or that bad behavior with no real long-term change? Then join with others as we explore how encountering the power of the Risen Christ can heal our wounds and set us free. In this seminar we will begin the process of healing, hearing the Truth from God and restoring us to the men and women that God created us to be.

Three Day Weekend Retreats:

• Discovering His Design - Restoring Our Broken Hearts. (Formerly the "Freedom in Christ" retreat.) Psalms 139 tells us that God planned and created us in perfection before we were born. Our design causes us to long for that perfect loving relationship with God where every desire and need is fully satisfied. The Father knew that the brokenness of this world would leave us struggling and planned to restore us to His Design through the love and power of the Risen Christ. Jesus’ healing and restoring work can transform the broken and hurt areas of our lives and set us free to be who God created us to be. There is space and time for God to minister to hurting hearts and brokenness. This retreat can help you experience more of God’s love, nurturing, and personal growth.
• Embracing His Design - It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. It’s about worship, true identity, and longings of the heart. What is a sense of being and well-being? What is a sense of self? Sense of worth? Sense of self-acceptance? Come and discover for yourself. Our identity was formed by what we experienced at each developmental stage of life. Some things were affirming, and some hurt and confused us. We invite Jesus to walk through those early years and let Him affirm our true identity, value, and position as sons and daughters of the King.

Light refreshments (like water, coffee, juice, fruit, and pastries) are available during weekend seminars. Please prepare to have lunch on your own during seminars and trainings, unless otherwise noted. Seminars and trainings are currently held at New Life Community Church in Bellevue. A wheelchair accessible entrance is available on the side of the building by the parking lot; please let us know that you're coming so we can unlock the side door for you.

Retreats are offered off site. Meals and lodging are provided (cost included with ticket price).
